Sticky baked chicken drumsticks

This one’s going to need a few extra napkins. Maybe even wipes.

This is a Gordon Ramsay recipe that I posted, oddly enough, on a day he responded to one of my tweets. It was nice for a chef I respect to not call me a douchebag for once too, so that made my day.

Serves 5

olive oil
10 chicken drumsticks
salt and pepper

6 tbsp. honey
3 tbsp. fish sauce
juice of 1-1/2 lemons
3 tbsp. rice wine vinegar
4 tsp. sesame oil

Heat the oven to 425 degrees. Lightly oil a baking dish or oven safe pan. Season the chicken and bake for 20 minutes.

While the chicken is cooking, prepare the glaze. Mix the ingredients together until evenly combined, then pour over the chicken to coat the drumsticks and bake for another 20 to 30 minutes. Toss the chicken several times to get a nice glaze on it.


Now go wash your hands and your face. You’re a mess.
