I’ve been cooking a whole lot of Bobby Flay dishes lately, and will be continuing to Flay up the new grill a lot this summer. So it’s best to take him down a peg before I over-glorify him.
In all seriousness, while some people don’t like the concept of Bobby Flay’s Throwdown, he’s win percentage over 7 years is like 31%, it drums up interest and buzz for local eateries, cooks and chefs and the book includes recipes for all of the dishes, not just Bobby’s.
Plus the show has like so much Mission Impossible-like cheese at the beginning of every episode. The only thing it’s missing is a message that will self destruct.
